Learn More
In our Lower through Middle School, we open our students’ minds to history, literature, math, and science, all through the lens of Torah and a love for Medinat Yisrael.

We strive to challenge every learner to move beyond his or her comfortable limits, in academic, religious, social and co-curricular areas.
Learn MoreWe opened this morning’s Yom HaShoah program with the sound of the siren and ...a moment of silence, as students in Grades 3–8 gathered on the steps. We were privileged to be joined by Holocaust survivors, along with children and grandchildren of survivors, who lit nerot zikaron in memory of the six million and joined us for tefilot.
Singing Ani Ma’amin and Acheinu together was a powerful moment, and we concluded with Hatikvah, holding both the weight of memory and the hope for the future.
Throughout the day, students in Grades 3–8 had the unique opportunity to hear firsthand testimonies from survivors and members of our community. Middle School students participated in a meaningful program that wove together song and text, and spent time in our Yom HaShoah Gallery for reflection and learning while our 8th graders displayed their black out poems around the shul.
Each hour, students and faculty paused in silence as the names of SAR family members who perished in the Holocaust were read aloud, reminding us that remembrance is both collective and deeply personal.
Thank you to all who participated in today’s tekes and shared their stories with our students.

SAR On the Steps: Standing Together
This morning, our school community came together for a powerful virtual ...gathering, bridging the distance between the U.S. and Israel in real time as the war entered its 27th day.
Students gathered on the steps as voices from across the SAR family in Israel — former parents, faculty, students, and friends — shared firsthand accounts of daily life and the realities they are facing.
Their words offered a window into both the challenges and the extraordinary strength and resilience that have defined their days — no school, no work, in and out of shelters day after day.
As the community watched via livestream, students, faculty, and families were able to see and hear directly from those on the ground, creating a sense of closeness despite the physical distance.
Together, we paused, reflected, caught up a bit, and offered chizuk — drawing strength from one another and reinforcing the deep sense of unity that continues to bind SAR families everywhere. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸
