Technology

At SAR HS, educational technology is used inside and outside the classroom to facilitate learning.

Our building has wi-fi throughout and all classrooms are equipped with SMARTboards. Among other uses, these interactive whiteboards allow the teacher to model processes and note taking as well as save classwork for collective use. Additionally, the SMARTboards simplify the use of digital media in the classroom. 

Moodle is our online course management system and virtual learning environment. At its most basic, Moodle serves as a resource for course documents and calendars as well as an avenue for communication for a class or the larger SAR community.  Many teachers also utilize the system for homework assignments, grading, and online forums as well as other pedagogical tools.  Each course and many co-curriculars maintain a Moodle page.

We are always researching new ways to further enhance our use of technology to reach our educational goals.
