HS - School Registrar and Office Associate

SAR High School is a mission-driven, co-educational, modern Orthodox Jewish high school committed to student-centered learning in a challenging and supportive environment. We are seeking to hire a School Registrar and Office Associate. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for education and has a background in school-based operations.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Registrar and Office Associate is responsible to organize and maintain school registrar systems. In addition, this person is responsible for handling administrative functions for the Directors of General and Judaic Studies, coordinating logistics for academic/school events, the school calendar, course scheduling, and preparing academic related communications.

REGISTRAR

Registrar Database Management, including:

  • Maintain accurate records for student, parent and faculty in 360/SMS database system for the purposes of admissions, enrollment, student/faculty schedules and attendance, with support from the Registrar Assistant.
  • Set-up modules for data entry and reporting
  • Manage Anecdotal (grade) submission and process
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, interfacing with DDC/360 Support with regard to utilizing the database effectively for maximum functionality and reporting, including all database troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate Finals and AP testing, including proctoring and scheduling of review sessions and exams.


ACADEMIC PROGRAMS/COMMUNICATIONS

  • Coordinate  Open School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Student-Teacher Conferences, including event logistics, preparing teacher and parent schedules and event registration.
  • Prepare Academic Communications (via eNotify), following brand guidelines and in coordination with the Director of Communications, for academic programs and general faculty and parent communications.

SCHOOL CALENDAR/SCHEDULES

  • Oversee SAR High School Academic Calendar in coordination with the Director of Operations and prepare/communicate “special schedules” for holidays and special programs.
  • Course Selection and Class Placement Support for General and Judaic Studies.

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as a friendly point of contact for students, faculty, and guests
  • Manage and maintain calendar for General and Judaic Studies Administrators
  • Answer phones (secondary) and ensure appropriate follow-up as needed
  • Serve as secondary/back-up for troubleshooting daily busing/transportation issues, in coordination with the Director of Operations

HS - Marketing & Communications and Events Manager

SAR High School is a mission-driven, co-educational, modern Orthodox Jewish high school committed to student-centered learning in a challenging and supportive environment. We are seeking to hire a full-time Marketing & Communications and Events Manager. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for education and has a background in executing successful marketing and communications strategies and works well both independently and as part of a team.

The person in this role is responsible for handling various marketing and communications initiatives and planning programs and events for the purposes of building community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Assist in creating a master plan for internal and external communications.
  • Design/set-up of internal and external email communications, including preparation of content (text and media) and appropriate messaging, in coordination with administrators, faculty and staff.
  • Work with faculty and staff on producing marketing and communications materials for programs and events.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and updated content on the website in coordination with the Academy and Business/Development Office.
  • Coordinate content submissions for the High School blog and Torah communications.
  • Create marketing and communications materials with available software.
  • Oversee SAR High School’s Social Media platforms, including preparing content (texts, images, etc.) for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter posts and the blog.
  • Coordinate collecting photo and video content and maintaining media archive.
  • Work with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development and management of department budget.

EVENT COORDINATION:

Includes planning and executing event logistics and details and program materials, as well as being on site for the event for set-up and troubleshooting as needed, for the following:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, marketing, communications or related field
