ELC - Assistant Teacher

SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Assistant Teachers in the Early Learning Center (Nursery-Kindergarten).

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to build connections with children and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect

  • Problem-solving and collaborative skills

  • Understanding of principles of social, emotional and cognitive development

  • Creative, flexible and open-minded approach to teaching

  • Background in Early Childhood current practice

  • Working knowledge of educational technology tools to maximize parent communication, student engagement and to differentiate instruction

Responsibilities:

  • Leads small group activities

SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Judaic Studies Assistant Teachers in the Lower School (Grades 1-5). 

Qualifications:

AC - Middle School Ivrit Teachers

SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now seeking an experienced Ivrit Teacher in the Middle School (Grades 6-8) for the 2020-21 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates ability to teach Ivrit to Middle School students
  • Exhibits a strong level of experience in the classroom with excellent instructional and classroom management skills as well as an ability to build connections with Middle School students and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect
