Twice a week, students have a physical education class to learn physical skills and improve their overall fitness. Through competitive, individual, and cooperative activities, students build motor, social, cognitive, and fitness skills. In addition, they are encouraged to practice good sportsmanship and to interact with each other in supportive and positive ways. Our goal is not only that our students become physically fit youngsters but that they also develop the skills and behaviors needed for a lifetime of good health and fitness.
At SAR, our athletics program emphasizes the importance of physical fitness and health. We try to foster teamwork, good sportsmanship and a healthy spirit of competition. At the same, we recognize that as tzelem elokim, our bodies have been created in the image of G-d, and we value each student’s midot.
