Wired to Learn
Through curricular integration, technology-related classes, and a plethora of co-curricular offerings, technology plays a key role in learning at SAR. As a school committed to meeting the unique needs of each student, our technology helps nurture a personalized, student-centered, learning environment in which creativity, collaboration, and communication are hallmarks of the student experience. As a tool to enhance education, our technology helps foster a more active learning experience for students, which we believe will best prepare our students for life in the 21st century.
Our emerging 1:1 iPad program, currently in grades 6-10, has played a key role in making technology available to our teachers and students on an “as needed” basis. Our robust professional development program has helped our teachers incorporate this powerful tool into the lives of their classrooms. The Google Apps for Education suite of tools, coupled with Haiku, our online learning management system, help facilitate an organized, productive, collaborative student experience.
Most recently, our engineering, coding, and robotics initiatives have become extremely popular and serve as hallmarks of our commitment to prepare our students for the rapidly developing technology landscape.
